Hugh has two modes: eating and sleeping. He might sometimes hold a conversation, but only with his mouth full or by talking in his sleep.

This villager is a Treasure Trekker. Treasure Trekkers can immediately be called to the campsite or cabin upon completing their respective map. Hugh's Map can be obtained through Hugh and Pals' Island.
