History

Pocket Camp Club was introduced as part of the 2nd Anniversary celebrations on November 20, 2019. It originally consisted of two plans: the Happy Helper Plan, which launched with a one-time free trial that is always available, and the Cookie & Depot Plan. The Cookie & Depot Plan was renamed to the Furniture & Fashion Plan in an update on April 14, 2020 which also added the ability to save layout designs to the plan. On September 23, 2020, an update added the Album feature and Extra Stamp Features to both plans, and with the introduction of Gifts, Camp Caretakers can now occasionally collect gifts. To celebrate the first anniversary of the Pocket Camp Club, the Furniture & Fashion Plan had a limited-time free trial available from November 20, 2020 to January 5, 2021. On February 10, 2021, 12 new members-exclusive stamps were added. On January 27, 2022, as part of the 4th Anniversary update, a third plan was added with the introduction of the Merry Memories Plan. On February 24, 2022, it was announced that future volumes of the Pocket Camp Club Journal will release every quarter starting from March 2022, instead of every month. In January and February of 2022, it was also announced that the Warehouse feature from the Furniture & Fashion Plan will become available to all players on June 23, 2022, and that prior subscribers of that plan would be compensated with Leaf Tickets. On June 23 the Warehouse feature became free to all players, and the amount of layout designs and additional outfits that could be saved was increased to 20. Five days later, players that had been previously subscribed or had activated the limited-time free trial received their compensation. With the introduction of Traveling Sales on August 28, 2022, Furniture & Fashion Plan members can now purchase certain premium items at discounted rates when they are offered by Traveling Sales merchants.

Benefits Shared Between Plans

There are a number of benefits that are available to all three subscription plans. This means that the player only needs to subscribe to one of the three plans to get all the following benefits, but subscribing to multiple plans does not make these benefits 'stack'. For example, the crafting time reduction will be the same regardless of whether one is subscribed to one plan, or multiple.

Reduced Crafting Time

Crafting times of Furniture, Clothes, and Amenities will be shortened based on the amount of days since the player first started playing, plus a base reduction of 2 hours. The exact amount of crafting time reduction is calculated as follows:

Crafting time reduction = Every 10 days since the player first started playing x 20 minutes + 2 hours

For example:

  • Someone who first started playing 22 days ago will have a crafting time reduction of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
  • Someone who first started playing 3 days ago will have a crafting time reduction of 2 hours.
  • Someone who first started playing 2100 days ago will have a crafting time reduction of 72 hours.

Pocket Camp Club Journal

For an archive of Pocket Camp Club Journal volumes, see Pocket Camp Club Journal Archive.

The Pocket Camp Club Journal is an e-zine which features articles about villagers and their birthdays, decorating tips, previews of upcoming Fortune Cookies and clothing collections, occasional special articles in anniversary volumes, and a poll of which the results get made public on the official Pocket Camp Twitter. Each volume also includes a downloadable wallpaper in multiple sizes, with the volumes celebrating the Pocket Camp Club anniversaries containing a bonus wallpaper.

From November 2019 until February 2022, a new volume released every month. Starting from March 2022, new volumes will release once every quarter, meaning four new volumes each year. Members can access all volumes of the Pocket Camp Club Journal either in-game through the Pocket Camp Club menu, or through visiting the official website.

Member Card

Players can view their Member Card through the Pocket Camp Club menu. The Member Card features a player's name, ID, Camp Caretaker (if selected, otherwise it will display 'None selected.'), days on the job (the amount of days since they first started playing), and their character striking a pose. It also displays a ribbon for each plan the player is subscribed to:

  • Home membership icon 00.pngHappy Helper Plan
  • Home membership icon 01.pngFurniture & Fashion Plan

Extra Stamp Features

Players get access to 72 stamps that are only available to Pocket Camp Club members. Stamps can be used to react to other players' Fave Photos. During October 2020, shortly after the introduction of stamps, the first two limited-time stamps were also exclusive to Pocket Camp Club members. However, there have been no limited-time stamps exclusive to Pocket Camp Club members since, and these limited-time stamps have been made available to everyone in subsequent years during October.

Additionally, while players can normally react to other players' Fave Photos with 1 stamp at a time, Pocket Camp Club members can react with up to 10 different stamps at once.

Home membership icon 02.pngMerry Memories Plan

First-time subscribers can choose a free planner design.

The Merry Memories Plan is a subscription centered around customizing the Planner and getting more rewards from seasonal events. It costs US $0.99 per month and currently does not have a free trial.

In addition to the benefits shared between plans, the Merry Memories Plan grants access to the following features:

20 Leaf Tickets Per Month

Members receive 20 Leaf Tickets once a month, each month they are subscribed. These can be claimed by tapping the Present icon to the lower right of the screen during the subscription period.

Purchase Planner Designs

Players subscribed to the Merry Memories Plan can purchase planner designs. Purchased planner designs can still be used and have their interior designs switched out after unsubscribing.

Upon subscribing to the Merry Memories Plan for the first time, players will immediately be prompted to select a free planner design. Players can choose any planner design for free, regardless of their regular Leaf Ticket cost. It is not possible to hold off on selecting the free planner design and continue playing. However, if one unsubscribes and does not select a free planner design before the end of their subscription (by essentially not playing for a month), they will be prompted to select a free planner design again the next time they subscribe to the Merry Memories Plan.

New planner designs are added periodically.

Sticker Shop

First-time subscribers receive the bottom-right sticker for free.

Members gain the ability to purchase stickers from the sticker shop. The sticker shop refreshes and restocks at the start of every new day. Stickers cost Bells, Sparkle Stones, or Leaf Ticket Leaf Tickets. Purchased stickers can still be used after unsubscribing.

Upon subscribing to the Merry Memories Plan for the first time, after selecting a free planner design, players will be prompted to "select" a free sticker. However, players cannot choose between different stickers and can only select the following specific sticker:

  • Sticker 013.png

This sticker temporarily replaces the sticker that is available in the bottom-right slot of the sticker shop while selecting the free sticker, but after selecting it, players are able to purchase the sticker that was originally there again.

New stickers are added periodically. Stickers related to specific themes or holidays can still appear for purchase all year round.

Step Count Stickers

The villager in the planner can comment on the step count stickers.

Members can link the data from their Google Fit app on Android or the Health app on iOS to have their daily step count recorded in the planner through a step count sticker. The stickers are placed automatically, and cannot be removed. To use step count stickers, players must have one ore more steps recorded in their step count data on the day they open their planner or the day before. If the app is no longer linked or if the player does not give permission for their device to collect step count data, the step count will show "0". If the player cancels the Merry Memories Plan, they can no longer place new step count stickers, but step counts will still be displayed on stickers that were previously placed.

The color of step count stickers is different for each month and matches the color used to show the durations of events happening in that same month:

Month Color
January Sticker steps January.png
February Sticker steps February.png
March Sticker steps March.png
April Sticker steps April.png
May Sticker steps May.png
June Sticker steps June.png
July Sticker steps July.png
August Sticker steps August.png
September Sticker steps September.png
October Sticker steps October.png
November Sticker steps November.png
December Sticker steps December.png
Merry Memories Plan members are able to obtain the items from both reward columns.

Additional Seasonal Event Rewards

Players can obtain additional seasonal event rewards while subscribed to the Merry Memories Plan. This means that in addition to the first column of seasonal event rewards, which is available to all players, members can also earn the rewards from the second reward column. These additional rewards generally consist of Leaf Tickets, Reissue Material, seasonal Gifts, extra furniture and clothes from that month's seasonal event, and as final reward the first new Fortune Cookie introduced that month. Just like the first reward column, these rewards also require a certain amount of the seasonal material to be collected by the player through participating in that month's Garden Event, Fishing Tourney Event, and Scavenger Hunt Event. If the seasonal event has ended, the player can no longer get rewards that have not been collected. It is not possible to obtain duplicate rewards by repeatedly unsubscribing and resubscribing during the same seasonal event.

If the player subscribes near the end of a seasonal event, it is possible to claim the additional rewards from that seasonal event and the additional rewards they manage to unlock from the next seasonal event, provided they manage to collect enough of the seasonal materials.

Home membership icon 00.pngHappy Helper Plan

The Happy Helper Plan is a subscription focused around the Camp Caretaker feature. It costs US $2.99 per month and has a 30-day free trial.

In addition to the benefits shared between plans, the Happy Helper Plan grants access to the following features:

60 Leaf Tickets Per Month

Members receive 60 Leaf Tickets once a month, each month they are subscribed. These can be claimed by tapping the Present icon to the lower right of the screen during the subscription period.

Camp Caretaker

The Happy Helper Plan allows the player so appoint a villager as their Camp Caretaker. The Camp Caretaker gives the player rewards for requests that have not been completed by the player, collects items, gains friendship points, and can walk and chat with the player.

After the player subscribes, they will be prompted to appoint a Camp Caretaker. This can also be done later, by opening the map and tapping the bottom-right Camp Caretaker Info button. When the player goes to appoint their Camp Caretaker for the first time, they will first be approached by Isabelle Icon.png Isabelle, who will give the player a basic explanation of what the Camp Caretaker does. The player can then pick their Camp Caretaker from a list of all the villagers they have met at least once, regardless of whether they have been invited yet to the campsite. The villager that is selected to be the Camp Caretaker will show up on the player's Member Card and an icon of the villager will be shown next to the player in the Friends list, visible to other players. After the selection has been made, the Camp Caretaker will show their first Caretaker Report, which shows them having completed requests for 4 random villagers and the rewards the player gets, and the items they have collected for the player, and they will gain +5 friendship points.

The Camp Caretaker collects items for the player.

A new Caretaker Report can be viewed after every rotation (every 3 hours) by tapping on the Camp Caretaker villager, or by opening the map and tapping the bottom-right Caretaker Report button. Through the Caretaker Report, the rewards and collected items from up to the last 8 rotations (the last 24 hours) can be obtained. The Camp Caretaker earns +5 friendship points for each rotation in the Caretaker Report, up to +40 friendship points at once for 8 rotations.
If the player does not complete villager requests themselves, the next Caretaker Report will show that the Camp Caretaker completed their requests and the player will be rewarded with roughly the same amount of Wood, Steel, Cotton, Paper, Preserves, Bells Bells, occasionally Gifts, and during Garden Events event flower seeds, that they would have gotten if they had completed the requests themselves. The villagers do not receive friendship points if the Camp Caretaker completed their requests, and the Camp Caretaker will not use items from the player's inventory to clear requests. Requests completed by the Camp Caretaker count towards goals that require completing requests for visiting animals.
Every rotation, the Camp Caretaker will also collect items for the player. These items are usually currently available Fish, Bugs, Shells, or Fruit, but may also occasionally include: Wood, Steel, Cotton, Paper, Preserves, any regular type of Generic Essence.png Essence, Sparkle Stones, Gifts, Sea Throw Net, River Throw Net, Honey, and Fertilizer. They will also help out during events by collecting event creatures during Garden Events, Tourney Fish during Fishing Tourney Events (which will be doubled if the player is renting the Golden Rod), and Gyroidites during Scavenger Hunt Events. However, the amount of event items they collect will not be enough to complete the events by itself. Collected items count towards goals that require the player to pick up or catch things.
A breakdown of the rewards and collected items can be viewed by tapping the top-right Details button in the Caretaker Report.

The Camp Caretaker Info menu.

If the player wishes to change their Camp Caretaker, this can be done as often as the player wants by simply opening the Camp Caretaker Info menu again and selecting the Change Animal option. It is also possible to appoint a random villager by tapping the Auto-Select button.
The Camp Caretaker Info menu also displays the number of times the current Camp Caretaker has helped, and the amount of days they have been on the job. These numbers are cumulative, and do not reset when the player removes the villager as Camp Caretaker and then reinstates them.
Moreover, the Camp Caretaker Info menu allows the player to relieve the villager as Camp Caretaker, change the Camp Caretaker's outfit, select whether they want the Camp Caretaker to follow them around, and whether they want the Camp Caretaker to be the villager that appears in the Planner.

The Camp Caretaker can follow the player around.

If the player has the 'Walk Together' option set to on, the Camp Caretaker will walk with the player in the following places:

When the player is walking with the Camp Caretaker at these locations, they can tap on the Camp Caretaker to interact with them. The Camp Caretaker will either chat with the player, strike one of several different poses with in turn the player character responding to it, or dance or strike a pose together with the player.
The dialog when the Camp Caretaker chats with the player is, as is the case with all villager dialog, determined by their personality. The Camp Caretaker has dialog for small talk, and can ask the player to play rock-paper-scissors with them, but also has different dialog based on things such as the location they are currently at, time of day, day in the week, month, and season. They will also mention it when it is their birthday, when it is the player's birthday, or when the player and Camp Caretaker share their birthdays.

The Camp Caretaker will be present at the Campsite Icon.png Campsite regardless of whether the 'Walk Together' option is set to on or off. If the Camp Caretaker is not one of the villagers visiting the campsite, they will be standing next to the player's Camper, and reduce the amount of Special Characters that can appear when placing Special Furniture from 4 to 3. If they are visiting, they will interact with furniture like other campsite visitors. At the Cabin Icon.png Cabin, the Camp Caretaker will only show up when they are one of the villagers visiting it. At both locations, if the Camp Caretaker is present, the player can interact with them and change their clothes or feed them Snacks.

Album

The Album interface.

Members of the Happy Helper Plan and Furniture & Fashion Plan both gain access to the Album feature. Members of the Happy Helper Plan can save 5 photos, while members of the Furniture & Fashion Plan can save 30. Players that are subscribed to both plans can have up to 35 photos stored in their album. The player's Fave Photo does not count towards this total.

Members can save a photo in their album by taking a picture in photo mode and saving the picture in an album slot, or by setting it as their Fave Photo and swapping it with a different photo that is currently stored in the album. Members can save up to 10 photos to their album per day, and can also change their Fave Photo 10 times per day. Note that the player can only swap their Fave Photo with photos that are in the slots of the player's currently subscribed plan, and, to free up a slot when saving a new photo, they can only delete photos that are in the slots of the player's currently subscribed plan. For example, if the player was previously only subscribed to the Furniture & Fashion Plan and saved photos in their album then and is now only subscribed to the Happy Helper Plan and filled up the 5 new slots with 5 new photos, the player cannot swap the old photos with their Fave Photo, and if they want to free up a slot for a new photo they have to delete one of the 5 new photos.

The player can access their own album and the album of other players by opening the Social menu, tapping on their Fave Photo, and tapping the To Album button. By tapping on photos in their own album, the player can view the stamps photos have received, share them, save them to their device, delete them, set them as Fave Photo, or make them private. A photo can only receive stamps when it is currently set as the player's Fave Photo, but the stamps remain on the photo when the photo is stored in the album.

If the player is no longer subscribed, they can still access their album, view their photos and the stamps they have received, share photos, save them to their device, delete them, and make them private. However, they can no longer set photos from their album as their Fave Photo.

Additional Seasonal Event Reward

Happy Helper Plan members can get an additional reward from seasonal events.

Since the introduction of the Planner, members of the Happy Helper Plan are able to get an additional reward from seasonal events. So far, this has been 1 Reissue Material Map each seasonal event. This reward requires a certain amount of the seasonal material to be collected by the player through participating in that month's Garden Event, Fishing Tourney Event, and Scavenger Hunt Event, before the player is able to claim it.

Free Trial

The Happy Helper Plan has a permanently available free trial that grants access to all its features for a period of 30 days. The free trial automatically gets transformed into a paid subscription at the end of the free trial period unless automatic renewal is canceled 24 hours or more before the free-trial period ends.

Home membership icon 01.pngFurniture & Fashion Plan

The Furniture & Fashion Plan is mainly focused around collecting Fortune Cookie items, clothing and furniture storage, and saving layout designs and outfits. It costs US $7.99 per month and had a limited-time free trial that is no longer available.

Originally, the plan was called the Cookie & Depot Plan, but on April 14, 2020 it was renamed to Furniture & Fashion Plan and the ability to save up to 5 layout designs was added.[1]

The plan also originally included the Warehouse feature. On January 25, 2022, it was announced that the item warehouse feature would become free to all players, while they would also consider additional benefits to players who were already subscribed to the Furniture & Fashion Plan.[2] On February 24, 2022, this was followed up by a notice stating that the warehouse feature would be made available to all players on June 23, 2022, and that players who were currently or had previously been subscribed to the Furniture & Fashion Plan would receive Leaf Tickets corresponding to the duration of their subscription.[3] The version 5.1.0 update on June 23, 2022 made the Warehouse feature available to everyone, and increased the amount of layout designs and additional outfits that could be saved to 20. On June 28, 2022 all players that had been previously subscribed at any point or had activated the limited-time free trial were given 30 Leaf Ticket Leaf Tickets per month they were subscribed (up to a maximum of 960 Leaf Ticket Leaf Tickets if the player had been subscribed since the introduction of the plan) and 1 Terrain Exchange Ticket.

In addition to the benefits shared between plans, the Furniture & Fashion Plan grants access to the following features:

5 Fortune Cookies Per Month

The Pocket Camp Club Members-Only Cookie Shop can be accessed by tapping the button at the bottom of the Fortune Cookie Shop.

Each month, members can pick 5 Fortune Cookies of their choice out of all the Fortune Cookies that have been released thus far, with some exceptions that are listed below. Each Fortune Cookie also gives a Stamp Card Stamp. The Fortune Cookies are eaten upon selecting them. When selecting a Fortune Cookie, the player can choose to eat one, or multiple. If a Fortune Cookie has a small orange crown icon on it, it means that the player owns or has owned all of the items in that cookie before.

If the player cancels their subscription, the quantity of the Fortune Cookies they have not chosen yet is saved, and they can be chosen the next time the player subscribes on top of the 5 that the player gets to choose that month. They cannot be chosen when the player is not subscribed. If the player remains subscribed, the quantity of unchosen Fortune Cookies will also roll over to the next month.

The following Fortune Cookies cannot be chosen:

Save 20 Layout Designs

Saved Sets can be accessed through the Design button.

Members can save up to 20 layout designs for their Campsite Icon.png Campsite or Cabin Icon.png Cabin as Saved Sets. Once subscribed, members will get a pop-up after saving a layout design asking whether they want to add the layout to their Saved Sets. Saved Sets can only be previewed and applied in their designated area. Saved Sets are shared between the first and second floors of the Cabin Icon.png Cabin, meaning that the player can preview and apply Saved Sets on different floors. Saved Sets can be named or renamed and by tapping on them it is possible to view a list of the Furniture, Clothing, Amenities, and Terrain that is used in the layout designs, and whether anything that is used in it is currently in use somewhere.

If the player is no longer subscribed, Saved Sets can still be renamed, and the list of Furniture, Clothing, Amenities, and Terrain used in them can still be viewed. They cannot, however, be previewed or applied.

If, at the Market Place Icon.png Market Place, the player attempts to sell a piece of furniture that is used in a Saved Layout, they will get a notification asking if they are sure they want to sell it.

Save 20 More Outfits

Furniture & Fashion Plan members are able to save up to 20 additional outfits, for a total of 21 Saved Outfits.

Members have 20 additional Saved Outfit slots on top of the 1 Saved Outfit slot that all players have access to, for a total of 21 Saved Outfit slots. Saving an outfit is done by opening the Clothing inventory, tapping the 'Saved Outfits' button, and then tapping the 'Overwrite' button on a Saved Outfit slot to save the outfit. The player can change into a Saved Outfit by tapping on it an tapping the 'Wear' button. Saved Outfits can also be named or renamed and the Outfit Contents can be viewed by tapping on Saved Outfits.

If the player is no longer subscribed, Saved Outfits can still be renamed, their Outfit Contents can still be viewed, and Saved Outfits can still be reset. They cannot, however, be worn.

If, at the Market Place Icon.png Market Place, the player attempts to sell the last piece that the player has of a piece of clothing that is used in a Saved Outfit, they will get a notification asking if they are sure they want to sell it.

Album

Additional Seasonal Event Rewards

Furniture & Fashion Plan members can get two additional rewards from seasonal events.

Since the February 2022 seasonal event, after the introduction of the Planner, members of the Furniture & Fashion Plan are able to get an additional reward from seasonal events. So far, this has been 20 Leaf Tickets each seasonal event. As of the July 2022 seasonal event, members can also obtain a Terrain Exchange Ticket each month. These rewards require a certain amount of the seasonal material to be collected by the player through participating in that month's Garden Event, Fishing Tourney Event, and Scavenger Hunt Event, before the player is able to claim them.

Traveling Sales Discounts

For more info about how Traveling Sales works, and lists of the items and discounts offered by the various Traveling Sales merchants, see the Traveling Sales page.

Most Traveling Sales merchants that can appear, will offer discounted listings of certain items. These discounted listings are only available to be purchased by players who are subscribed to the Furniture & Fashion Plan. Only specific items can appear as a discounted listing.

Limited-Time Free Trial

To celebrate the first anniversary of the Pocket Camp Club, the Furniture & Fashion Plan had a limited-time 30-day free trial that granted access to all its features and was available to all players from November 20, 2020 to January 5, 2021. Players that were subscribed at any time between August 20, 2020 and November 20, 2020 received 5 Fortune Cookie Vouchers in their mailbox, which allowed them to select 5 cookies for free from the Members-Only Cookie Shop during the free trial or during their regular subscription. Players that were subscribed to the Furniture & Fashion Plan during the free trial period could unsubscribe and still activate the free trial. The free trial is no longer available.
