Fishing Tourney 34 (Icy)

Fishing Tourney 34 (Icy) is an event featuring C.J. which utilizes the Saltwater Shores location. The event introduces rare types of fish, as well as icy furniture rewards.

The tourney began on Jan. 13th, 2021 and the player could collect fish to complete the challenges and goals until Jan. 19th, 2021. The trophy earned for the tourney was available in the player's mailbox from Jan. 19th to Jan. 20th, 2021.

Fish could be obtained in various ways:

• By fishing with the regular fishing rod near sparkling water, for a total of 6-9 spawns per 3-hour rotation. There is a 13% chance for a single spawn to result in capturing two fish at the same time.
• By renting the Golden Rod and using it to fish near sparkling water, for a total of 6-9 spawns per 3-hour rotation. Each spawn will result in capturing two fish at the same time.
• By using the Tourney Throw Net to capture x6 random tourney fish.
• By buying a Lg. Tourney Throw Net and using it to capture x1 Icy Chambered Nautilus, x4 Icy Lobster, plus 5 random tourney fish.
• By talking to villagers at the campsite and receiving fish in addition to the normal reward.

Fish could be turned in to C.J. at any point during the tourney, although once a player has at least 20 fish in their inventory, C.J. would automatically collect them all.

Only one trophy is received at the end of the event, for the highest level reached.

Any tourney nets left over at the end of the event will stay in the player's inventory and may be used in future fishing tourneys at either location.

These were timed goals which lasted the entire duration of the event period. The Event Challenges are as follows:

Reward Goal x 1 Icy Butterfly Fish collecting! Catch 5 of them. x 1 Icy Butterfly Fish collecting! Catch 10 of them. x 1 Icy Butterfly Fish collecting! Catch 15 of at least 18.5 cm.. x 1 Icy Chambered Nautilus collecting! Catch 5 of them. x 1 Icy Chambered Nautilus collecting! Catch 25 of them. x 1 Icy Chambered Nautilus collecting! Catch 15 of at least 36.5 cm. x 1 Icy Lobster collecting! Catch 5 of them. x 3 Icy Lobster collecting! Catch 10 of them. x 1 Icy Lobster collecting! Catch 5 of at least 67.0 cm.

Total Size Rewards

All of the fish caught by the player and given to C.J. will have their sizes added to a total combined size. When this combined size reaches a goal, the player receives a reward. Excluding trophy rewards, one of the items within that reward pool will be randomly selected.
