Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt 42 (Sleepy) is an event held in-game from May 20th to May 29th, 2022 that featured special dreamy-and-fluffy furniture, which players could obtain through crafting.

Most of the items required an event-specific crafting material, the Sleepy Gyroidite which was obtained via the player finding them on the ground and collecting them, as a gift from villagers at the campsite, and occasionally as a featured reward through Shovelstrike Quarry. Additionally, on the third day of the event, players could tap on the icon that appeared and would randomly get either the Silver, Gold or Platinum Prize, which gave 10, 30 or 50 Sleepy Gyroidite respectively, which were sent to their mailbox.

Players that got the Silver Prize received 10

Sleepy Gyroidite.

Players that got the Gold Prize received 30

Sleepy Gyroidite.

Players that got the Platinum Prize received 50

Sleepy Gyroidite.

Sleepy Gyroidite Spawns

The Sleepy Gyroidites could potentially spawn at the Market Place, OK Motors, Breezy Hollow, Lost Lure Creek, Saltwater Shores, and Sunburst Island.

Non-spawn locations are Campsite, Garden, Camper, and Cabin.

There can be a maximum of 18 Sleepy Gyroidites spawned on the map at the same time.
New Sleepy Gyroidites re-spawn approximately every 4 minutes, regardless of where the player is on the map and whether the game is open vs closed.
If the player opens the game in the Campsite and travels to one of the four recreation spots (Breezy Hollow, Lost Lure Creek, Saltwater Shores, or Sunburst Island) first, it's possible to collect more than 10 Sleepy Gyroidites at that first location.
